Thoughts on street photography (2023)

You, you don't work, you take a hard pleasure”Page 101 Henri Cartier-Bresson Interviews and Conversations 1951 - 1998 (

When thinking about street photography I am reminded of this quote. I often wonder why we photographers push ourselves to such great lengths to take photographs.
We work hard, but with passion and rigor, we partake in this difficult pleasure.

It is with this attitude in mind that I photograph.
Walking freely, absent of strategy.

Themes I forget, I think they culminate after. In the instant, themes and goals are nothing but clutter.
Intuition takes precedence over thought. All that matters is the search for that curious moment.

A theme I may not always have. But an intention I do, it is to create an honest portrait of a place, my feelings, and experiences as I inhabited it.
It is up to the viewer to decide whether or not I have been successful.

DISORGANISED MAGAZINE
2020

“Disorganised is my frame of mind when it comes to photography”

Primarily Street photography shot on film, I try to take photos around London every weekend.

I put these zines together as a way to translate my perspective of the city, which to me is overwhelming, crowded, and impatient.

My favorite moments are those of peace and thought amongst the chaos that sometimes isn't noticed until seen in photographs.

I've taken a few portraits of friends and folks that I've met along the way. Hopefully, I have captured their characters and how they contribute to the overall perspective.

I am still learning and endeavor to make more presentations of my work in the future.

I hope you enjoy it.
